SkyMed Season 4 Premiere Event: The Paramount Plus Medical Drama You Need to Binge
Officially clearing SkyMed for takeoff on my watchlist!
If you are anything like me and cannot resist a high stakes medical drama, it is officially time to update your streaming queue. I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending a tastemaker event hosted by Paramount Plus Canada to celebrate the launch of their hit original series, SkyMed.
Here is an inside look at the exclusive Toronto premiere event and exactly why this show is moving to the very top of my weekend binge list!
The Venue: High Altitude Glamour at Billy Bishop Airport
Paramount Plus truly went above and beyond with this event setup. Instead of a standard movie theater, they hosted the beautiful tastemaker evening inside an actual working flight hangar at Stolport FBO / Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport!
My friend Janviere took a short ferry ride (without having to exit the car) - which was only a 121m from Billy Bishop!
There is something undeniably cool about attending a premiere where real airplanes serve as the backdrop. The hangar was transformed into an aviation lover's dream, complete with massive light projections on the walls, a sleek red propeller plane, and authentic medical rescue gear scattered around for the ultimate photo moments. It perfectly bridged the gap between Toronto media event glamour and the rugged, life saving reality of the show.
The Cast Q&A: Behind the Scenes at 20,000 Feet
The absolute highlight of the evening was the moderated cast Q&A panel. Hosted by the fabulous Brittnee Blair (@brittneeCblair), we got an exclusive chance to hear directly from the incredible actors who bring this high altitude drama to life.

Nothing beats hearing the behind the scenes stories directly from the people filming in remote locations and performing intense medical rescues on screen. Listening to their passion and off screen chemistry completely sold me on the series.
What to Expect in SkyMed Season 4
If you are already a fan of the series, the newest season is bringing even more heat. According to recent reports and the official trailer launch, the show is officially doubling down on the action with some truly unbelievable, high adrenaline rescue missions set deep within the dense Canadian wilderness. The stakes have literally never been higher!
The dynamic of the flight team is also getting a massive shakeup this year. While five of your favorite cast members are returning to the tarmac, five brand new stars are joining the roster to stir up fresh drama, new alliances, and possibly a few new romances.
One of the most exciting new additions to the crew is Toronto's very own Cecilia Lee. I loved learning how she had a truly inspiring career pivot. She actually started her journey working behind the camera before stepping into the spotlight to fly helicopters as one of the newest cast members. I LOVE seeing local Toronto talent shine on such a massive streaming platform!

I will fully admit that I am brand new to the world of SkyMed. However, after hearing the cast speak so passionately about their roles, I immediately had to look up what I had been missing. It turns out the critics are just as obsessed with this Canadian medical drama as the fans are!

I am incredibly excited to dive into the high stakes world of flight nurses and pilots. I cannot wait to start binging the series from the very beginning to see how all the drama unfolds in the remote Northern wilderness.
